Mikako Saito(Inada)

For the last 28 years, I have been working as an interpreter and production coordinator for the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) and other major national TV networks. This time has enabled me to become involved in the production of more than 100 TV documentaries and shows covering wildlife, nature, culture, and natural history.

Working on these productions has presented me with opportunities to visit nearly every corner of the world. At last count, I had visited more than 60 countries, during over 250 trips abroad.

Through these trips, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of the traditions of various countries and their cultures as well as a deep understanding of diversity in culture and religion. To better make use of this knowledge and my extensive travel experiences, I obtained the qualification of National Licensed Guide/Interpreter in 2016.

I know what aspects of Japan may be appealing to you and what kind of things may leave you perplexed. Let me assure you that I can make your stay in Japan both enjoyable and memorable.

In particular, for media people visiting Japan for filming, I will be able to assist you very attentively, by using my twenty-eight years of experience working with TV crews and photographers, to successfully guide you through the complexities and perplexities of Japan. I understand what will be required to make your business go smoothly in every way because I have done it all many times before.
